Just miles away from the beach is an all vegan fast food restaurant, Plant Power. They serve traditional fast food items such as burgers, fries, salads, shakes, and breakfast items. Best of all the food is non-GMO, free from artificial ingredients and is served on 100% biodegradable materials.
There are two locations in San Diego: Ocean Beach and Encinitas. The Ocean Beach location has a drive up option where you order using the kiosk and your order is then brought out to you. The Encinitas location has a drive-thru. Both locations are perfect if you want to grab food before or after the beach.
Here’s what my family and I order:
The Big Zac is the vegan version of the big mac. I order this every time I go here. I order it as a combo and get the ‘beef’ patty. This is hands down my favorite item on the menu. $9.50
Kids Combo ‘Chicken’ Tenders my daughter loves to order this. It comes with the ‘chicken’ tenders, fries or organic carrots, and a 12 oz fountain drink. She get the fries and a kombucha. This one is kid approved! $6.95
Voodoo Fries is the vegan version of the animal fries from In-N-Out. These are great on their own or paired with a vegan burger. $3.95
Cheesecake is super creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness. $4.95
Old Fashion Milkshakes who doesn’t love a good milkshake. They have the classic flavors: chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. As well as, peanut butter, horchata and matcha. All are amazing! $4.95
‘Sausage, Egg & Cheese’ Muffin is the vegan version of the egg mcmuffin. We order this before going to the beach in the morning. This is definitely a favorite breakfast item. $5.95
Plant Power has revolutionized the way fast food should be. If you’re in the San Diego area definitely check this place out.
Love always, Jasmine
